Welcome to Shine On Pediatric Therapy, where we are dedicated to helping children build confidence, reach developmental milestones, and thrive through compassionate, evidence-based care.
We currently provide office-based and in-home speech and language therapy for children in the Lake Zurich area and surrounding communities. Every child receives an individualized treatment plan tailored to their unique strengths, needs, and goals.
At Shine On Pediatric Therapy, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their highest potential. Our commitment is to provide exceptional, family-centered care that empowers children to succeed at home, at school, and in everyday life.
As our practice continues to grow, we look forward to expanding our services to include occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT), allowing us to provide even more comprehensive pediatric care for families in our community.

Meet your Provider
Deanna Vanstedum, MHS, CCC-SLP/L is a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist who has been helping children and families since 2018. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders from Elmhurst University before completing her Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Governors State University.
Deanna has experience providing speech and language services in early childhood, school, and pediatric outpatient settings, working with children from infancy through high school. She has worked with children with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, developmental delays, speech and language disorders, and sensory processing concerns.
She has a special interest in early language development, family-centered intervention, child-led and play-based therapy, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Every therapy session is individualized to meet each child's unique strengths, interests, and communication goals while empowering families with strategies to support continued growth at home.
Deanna is passionate about helping children build confidence through communication and believes meaningful progress happens when therapy is engaging, collaborative, and tailored to each child and family.
Outside of work, Deanna enjoys reading, swimming, discovering new restaurants, going to the movies, spending time outdoors with her dogs, and making memories with family.
She believes parents and caregivers are an essential part of the therapy team and enjoys partnering with families to help children communicate with confidence in their everyday lives.

Will be offering two groups that meet weekly!
